Horto Village - South Pelion Horto is the coastal port serving village of the village Argalasti, and is located at a distance of 3 km from the neighbouring village of Milina and 46 km. from the city of Volos. Horto is situated within olive groves that stretch all the way to the sea. It is here in Horto that the cultural Museum Agelini was founded, where you can see a rich collection of household equipment, old tools, old decorative objects, traditional suits, old books and other such items that are exhibitied here in the museum. In the ancient years, the ancient city Spalafthra was situated here, which was prosperous through the ancient and the old Christian years. The village of Horto has some truly beautiful beaches that ideal for swimming and relaxing under the sun during the summer season. In August many cultural events take place here, under the supervision of the cultural association of village Horto and the institution G. Agelini – P. Hatzinikou. Visitors are more than welcome to attend, where they can join in with the celebrations and festivites. The village of Horto is very close to Argalasti, meaning it is serviced by the Medical Center and the Pharmacy of Argalasti.
