Kastri Village - South Pelion Kastri is a small yet highly picturesque coastal hamlet where the rich vegetationblends together in harmony with the blue and green colours of the sea. The village is built in a crescent shape and is famous for its exceptional beauty and the tranquility of its unique and inspirational landscape. Kastri is situated close to Platanias and is 68km from the city of Volos. It is well organized for tourism with a good infrastructure, and here you will find a lovely choice of accommodation facilities and restaurants. There are no direct connections from Kastri with the KTEL buses. The closest stop is Platanias and from there you can take a taxi towards Kastri. The beautiful beach of Kastri is ideal for water sports and is extremely popular for windsurfing, due to it's geographic location. During the summer months, visitors from all over Pelion come to enjoy the cool waters of Kastri, and the beach has a very friendly and warm atmosphere.
