Mikro Village - South Pelion Mikro ( meaning small ) is indeed a small yet extremely beautiful hamlet, that is home to one of the most beautiful beaches in Pelion along the coast of the Aegean Sea. The hamlet is located 8.5km from Lafkos. It is also connected with neighbouring village of Platanias through a natural path passing over rocks next to the sea, which is aproximately 800 meters in length. There are also connections by sea taxi to Platanias with caiques that leaving from the Platanias’s port. During recent years, the hamlet has seen a great increase in demand from tourists, and for that, it is developing fast it's tourist facilities. There already several lovely accommodation facilities operating there such as rooms and apartments to let, a hotel, mini market, restaurants and cafe bars, where you can enjoy a drink or meal, whilst enjoying wonderful views out towards the Aegean Sea. In Mikro is located the religious monument of Metamorphosis tou Sotira that celebrates with a traditional and religious festival on the 6th of August. The hamlet of Mikro is not included in the routes of the KTEL buses of Magnesia, and the nearest stop is the neighbouring village of Platanias. For your medical needs you will be serviced at Argalasti’s Medical Center where you will find also and chemist and also from the surgery of village Lafkos.
