Milina Village - South Pelion

Milina is a beautiful coastal village on the Pagasitic Gulf, 49 km from Volos and 7 km from Lafkos.

Today it is considered one of the most beautiful tourist resorts in Pelion along the Pagasitic gulf and offers all the modern comforts to its visitors. On the village’s coastline
you will find picturesque bays and beautiful sandy beaches with exceptionally clean waters.

Opposite Milina at a close distance from the beach is the small islet Alatas, which covered by olive trees.

On this islet is situated the old monastery of Agii Saranta ( 40 Saints ), which played an important role during the Greek Revolution against the Ottoman occupation in 1821.

West of Alatas and at a close distance is situated another small islet called Prasouda, where you will find the old Byzantine monastery of Zoodohos Pigi ( Life giving Source ), that today is deserted. The access to these islets is manageable only by boat, rented or private.

On the village’s outskirts, on top of a hill are the ruins of the ancient city Olizon, whose King took part in the Trojan war.

The village is included in the routes of the KTEL buses of Magnesia, with daily connections and and from Volos – Trikeri or Lafkos. For your medical needs you will be serviced at Argalasti’s Medical Center where you will also find a chemist. The surgery of the village of Lafkos is also close by.
